Zip Lines
Zip line courses are a great way to experience the thrill of flying. If you’re in a place with lots of trees, zip lines can give you an amazing bird’s eye view of the surrounding area and provide an adrenaline rush like no other. Zip lines are found at many different locations and can be fun for everyone from kids to adults!
Tandem Skydiving
Tandem skydiving is the act of parachuting or gliding from a high place. it’s a top adrenaline challenge, but also requires training and experience. If you’re looking for an adrenaline rush that’s a little more low-key than skydiving, hot air ballooning may be the answer. It consists of a bag (called an envelope) which contains heated air causing it to float in the air and is one of the most common forms of air travel.
There are several different kinds of hot air balloon: sport, racing and luxury. Therefore, depending on the type of hot air ballooning you want to take part in, the type of hot air balloon you use will differ. For example, those used for sport are used for different fabrics to ensure greater performance, whereas those used for luxury offer extra padding for comfort during ride time.
Bungee Jumping
Bungee jumping is the act of diving from a bridge, crane or platform and then being stopped by a cord that stretches in order to absorb most of the jumpers energy. The average bungee jump lasts between 2.5 and 4.5 seconds and you can reach a speed of up to 120km/h making it one of the fastest sports on earth!
Paragliding
Paragliding is a sport where you fly through the air using a parachute-like wing. The paraglider’s shape and size make it resemble the wings or a soaring bird and the pilot controls their flight with their weight.
Air pressure holds open the fabric wing whilst the pilot has to hold on to a harness attached to wing. This allows the pilot to control the direction they glide in by shifting body weight in different directions.
This activity provides an incredible adrenaline rush as it can be quite dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing, and it can also be quite difficult to land safely after your flight.
White Water Rafting
White water rafting is an ideal way to experience the thrill of white water without having to swim in it. The rafts are specially designed with a flat floor and high sides so you can relax whilst your guide paddles down the river.
Be prepared for some physical exertion as you hold on tightly around currents, rocks and other obstacles that may be in your path. But that’s part of the fun! This is one of the best ways to experience an adrenaline rush.
Cliff Jumping
Cliff jumping is a popular yet dangerous sport which makes it perfect for experiencing a huge adrenaline rush. You shouldn’t jump from too high or too far, and you need to make sure that the landing area is clear of objects and people. Keep in mind that conditions can change very quickly and you should always wait until the person before you gets out of the water before jumping in yourself!
