What is London Fashion Week?
London Fashion Week celebrates fashion with Brits, lovers of fashion, buyers, and the media twice a year in the months of February and September.
The London Fashion Week, which is sponsored by Mercedes-Benz and organized by the British Fashion Council, a non-profit organization, presents creations from over 250 designers to a global audience by holding catwalk shows, designer showrooms, and static presentations. An estimated 100 million pounds worth of orders is placed during London Fashion Week.
The event, which primarily caters to industry professionals, features the newest collections from a wide range of renowned British designers for the next season. Journalists and photographers covering the fashion industry report on the collections and forecast emerging trends here, which are subsequently seen by the general public online and in print publications.
Together with the major glossy magazines, buyers from retailers like Harvey Nichols and Selfridges and celebrities are frequently there to choose the trends they want to buy (or, if their celebrities, wear) for the upcoming season.

Somerset House in the heart of London served as the location for London Fashion Week for many years. Locations have, however, frequently varied over the past few years in an effort to show participants the many sides of the British city.
The venues of shows are frequently disclosed closer to the day and are normally invite-only. The London Fashion Week website will have videos of the shows available. At several sites across the capital, a mix of runway displays, presentations, and events will be held.
