Exploring The Great Outdoors: Caravan Holidays With Your Furry Friend

When you go on your holidays, you never want to leave a member behind… and you definitely won’t be forgetting anyone on this trip!

There are plenty of dog friendly holidays across the UK – you just need to pick the right one for you and your pooch.

This article will give you a rundown of some of the best locations to visit on your caravan holiday with your family and furry friend next to you!

Table of Contents

Cornwall

As you may already know, Cornwall is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the UK. Each year the southern coast is filled with tourists wanting to check out the local delicacies and famous spots – including your four-legged friend!

Luckily, Cornwall has nearly 150 beaches where dogs are allowed all year round! So, you can walk along the sandy shore, whilst your dog runs into the sea. What bliss! Around the beaches, there are plenty of dog-friendly cafes and restaurants, so you have lots of options whilst you’re away.

Some of the most beautiful beaches for you and your dog to explore are Great Bay, Porth Joke, Green Bay and Widemouth Bay

Lake District

If you are wanting to surround yourself with some greenery and gorgeous sights, the Lake District is the place for you! It’s the ideal location to bring your dog and explore some of the incredible sights on offer.

The Lake District itself is based in the North West of England – famous for its mountainous scenery which overlook beautiful lakes. One of the best walking routes to go on with your pooch is Derwentwater Circuit, which is around 10 miles long. It’s a mainly flat surface, so ideal for any age family members

Norfolk

Norfolk is the hidden gem of the East of England!

Your dog will have the time of its life visiting some of the idyllic locations across this county. First, you can visit Holkham Bay, where you can run across the golden sand dunes and have a splash in the sea.

Or, if you wanted more of a woodland walk, you can travel to Thetford Forrest park and have endless fun exploring the different walking routes you may come across.

One of the best towns to visit is Wells-Next-To-Sea, here you can look into some of the quaint shops, cafes and amusement venues – you’ll just need to keep your dog on a lead here.

Not only is there a mini train ride to hop on to the beach, you can get yourself fish and chips and watch the world go by. I’m sure your furry friend will be wanting a doggy ice cream after all that fun!

Hopefully, you now have a range of options to explore for your next UK caravan holiday. Whatever location you pick, you are sure to have lots of fun adventures exploring with your dog and family.

The only question left to ask is, where will you be exploring first?
